Below I have included the most common questions with answers to ease your mind and inform you about my space, my education and my aspirations for my business.

“How long have you been an organic hair stylist?”

First, I’d like to say there really is no such thing as an organic hair colorist. All hair color has some chemical element, I have been a low-tox hair dresser for nearly 5 years, which really means I use the least toxic form of hair color and styling products available. My favorite brands for hair color are original mineral and oway. My favorite low-tox brands for styling and shampooing are afterworld organics , cult + king , and fat and the moon. I encourage you to do your research on these lines to ensure they align with your values and your health.

“Why do you require a consultation for new clients?”

The success rate of your first appointment will ultimately decide the success rate of your future appointments. In order for me to have a proper consultation we will discuss your scalp health, washing ritual, styling regime, and any other elements of your lifestyle that pertain to your hair, which sometimes requires a lengthier time allotment. Consultations prior to your service appointment are a great way for us to get to know each other to ensure we align.

“What is your educational background?”

I have been doing hair for 10 years. I attended beauty college in Virginia . I apprenticed under a master stylist in the same area where I learned the importance of client relationships. After moving back to my home state of Arizona I found my feet at an organic salon in Phoenix where I grew and flourished. I developed a unique technique for my clientele coined ‘Balanced Balayage.’ I travel and teach this technique. I’ve taught classes in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Palm Springs and now virtually. I’ve learned from big names in the industry such as Guy Tang, Jayne Edo, and Sal Sal. What I know to be fundamentally true is practice makes perfect. So in order to appreciate and trust my skill you must know that I am undeniably critical and I want your hair to look as perfect as it can. I have an ethical code that I won’t breach within myself and that is to give you the hair that feels like you within healthy reason.

“What are your goals for Myth.?”

My goal for myth. is for it to keep serving its purpose! The plan is to always go “bigger” but for now, myth. feels quite perfect for the times we are in. Small, Safe, Sanitized and Holistic. I see one client at a time , I never double book. So when you are in my chair, YOU are the priority.
